Branding for new festival in the Scottish Borders
I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to sponsor a new Arts Festival in the Scottish Borders called the YES Festival (which stands for Yarrow, Ettrick & Selkirk) that’s going to be running from the 12th – 15th September this year. My sponsorship has taken the form of designing the visual identity and brand for the event together with several aspects of the visual marketing and advertising pieces. The above image was created to communicate the idea of wherever you are or go in the area, there’ll be something on.
The image was created as a CGI model and lit so as to work with the background photographic setting. The idea now is to put the signpost into several other images from around the area to continue the idea. Also working on putting it into some video but that’s a little more tricky.
Below are some images of pieces produced so far including the logo itself which is intended to convey a human and fluid feel that represents so much of the different types of arts projects involved in the festival.
